About the Project

As part of Council's Winter School Holiday Program, local artist Keioni Lander (Mulla Mulla Art) will be facilitating a series of interactive workshops to produce a truly unique youth-led  mural at the Newland Park Skate and Play Precinct.

Keioni will lead the creative workshops with local young people, supporting their involvement in the design and on-site creation of the mural.

The completed work will be unveiled at 'Newlandia' – Newland Park Skate & Music Festival and will incorporate the 2026 NAIDOC theme, “50 Years of Deadly.”This initiative supports the Alice Springs Public Art Masterplan 2020–2030 by investing in suburban public art, while also aligning with the Municipal Plan 2025/26 to enhance community livability and celebrate what makes Alice Springs unique.

This project is proudly supported and joint funded by Alice Springs Town Council, NIAA, and Tangentyere Council.
