Recycling just got a whole lot easier in Alice Springs! Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) and Drop’n’Go Pods are secure, self-serve recycling stations where you can return eligible drink containers and earn 10¢ per item - without the wait or hassle of lining up at a depot.

Installed in partnership with Envirobank, this services are available 24/7, making it super convenient to recycle at a time that suits you. Whether you’re a busy household, an office, or a visitor looking to do the right thing, RVm and Drop’n’Go makes recycling clean, quick and rewarding.

By using this services, you’re not only helping keep Alice Springs beautiful, but you’re also diverting waste from landfill and putting value back into the community - one container at a time.

🥤 What Can I Recycle?

You can return most single-use drink containers made from:

• Aluminium

• Glass

• Plastic

• Steel

• Liquid paperboard

Just make sure they:

• Have the 10¢ refund label

• Are clean and empty

• Have lids removed

• Are not crushed or broken
  
  

🔄 How to Use RVM

1. Sign up for a Crunch account
   Visit envirobank.com.au/crunch or scan the QR code below using your mobile device.

2. Scan your Crunch account barcode
   In the mobile app, go to:

   Recycle → Register a Drop-Off → Select Location
   (Note: Drop-off registration only works on mobile.)

3. Place each bottle individually into the RMV 
   Make sure bottle or cans barcode is visible, lids are removed and wait for the machine to scan it. Repeat this step as many times need
   
   

🔄 How to Use Drop’n’Go

1. Sign up for a Crunch account
   Visit envirobank.com.au/crunch or scan the QR code below using your mobile device.

2. Register your drop-off
   In the mobile app, go to:

   Recycle → Register a Drop-Off → Select Location
   (Note: Drop-off registration only works on mobile.)

3. Tag and tie your bag
   Scan the QR code on the bag and finalise registration (accept T&Cs and click Register Bag). Tie the bag securely.

4. Drop it in the pod
   Pop your bag into the pod, and you’re done!
   
   

💰 Getting Your Refund

Once your bag is collected and counted, credits will appear in your Crunch account. You can:

• Cash out via PayPal

• Donate to charity

🙋 Frequently Asked Questions

What is RVM exactly?
It is a machine to accept your CDS recycling, and rebate you accordingly. All you need to do is scan your scan your Crunch account barcode and feed the containers. It is also 100% solar powered!

What are Drop’n’Go Pods exactly?
They’re secure, weatherproof pods that act like mini recycling depots. Just register your bag, drop it in, and your refund is processed without you needing to wait around.

Why are they so great?
They’re open 24/7, free to use, super easy to access, and help reduce litter in our community. They’re perfect for households who want to recycle regularly without the depot queues.

Do containers need to be clean?
Yes — all containers must be rinsed and empty.

Is there a return limit?
No, but if you have a lot, the Envirobank Depot is the best option.

When will I receive my refund?
Typically within a few business days after collection if you use Drop'n'Go Pods. Credits will be instantly issued to your Crunch account if you use RVM.

Can I squash the bottles?
No. Please leave containers intact and uncrushed.
