About the Art:
This sculptural installation celebrates the Wedge-Tailed Eagle (Irretye), Australia’s largest bird of prey and a powerful symbol of the Central Australian landscape. Captured mid-landing on a weathered tree branch, the Eagle delivers a Stimson’s Python to its nest of two hungry Eaglets. The Wedge-Tailed Eagle (Irretye) is a powerful Totem that features in many Dreamtime stories.
