Georgie, an ambitious New York travel journalist, lands a weeklong assignment in Melbourne. Her itinerary unravels when Zach, a charming former AFL star, haphazardly becomes her tour guide and introduces her to a more spontaneous, heartfelt way of living. As they explore hidden gems and open up, a genuine connection forms. But when Georgie rushes back to the city for a television appearance, she lashes out at Zach for not being prepared. During her interview, she realises what truly matters - these unexpected connections and detours teach her to embrace the present, trust her own pace, and discover where she truly belongs.
