About the Art
This mural was commissioned by the Northern Territory Government as part of the Alice Springs 2018 Street Art Festival, in conjunction with Red Hot Arts.
It depicts the painted finch (Emblema pictum), which is found in arid and semi-arid zones, in rocky areas with a ground cover of spinifex grass, including in Central Australia.
