About the Art
A 4m tall statue of John McDouall Stuart was gifted to Alice Springs Town Council in 2010 by the local Freemasons Lodge to commemorate 150 years since Stuart first reached the area. It wasn't *until 23 July 2014 that the statue was placed in its current location in Stuart Park.
