Councillor Sean Heenan is a first-time elected member of the Alice Springs Town Council, bringing with him a long history of community involvement and local business experience. Self-employed since 2000, he understands the opportunities and challenges faced by small business owners and is passionate about contributing to the growth and vitality of Alice Springs.
Sean has been actively involved in many community organisations. He is a proud sponsor of West Football Club, Scorpions Soccer Club, and the Alice Springs Equestrian/Pony Club. He has also held leadership roles across a range of community groups, including serving as President of the Stuart Rotary Club (2020–2024) and now Vice-President. He is Treasurer of the Motor Enthusiast Club of Central Australia (since 2021) and was recently elected Vice-President. In addition, Sean has served as Chair of the Alice Springs Country Liberal Party Branch and Vice-President of the NT CLP, reflecting his ongoing commitment to civic life.
Outside of Council, Sean enjoys racing dirt karts, working as a pyrotechnician, training apprentices, and taking part in events such as Red CentreNATS and local car club activities.
