Jason Atherinos brings nearly three decades of experience in local government across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with a strong focus on corporate services. Beginning his career in IT service delivery, Jason has progressed through technical support, leadership, and project management roles, building a well-rounded understanding of organisational operations.
He has a proven track record in leading teams and delivering critical corporate functions that support effective Council operations.
Beyond his professional career, Jason dedicated 17 years to the Queensland State Emergency Service (SES), rising to Deputy Local Controller of Redland SES. In this role, he managed a unit of up to 200 volunteers and served as President of the volunteers’ association, overseeing fundraising to support local emergency response efforts.
