      Four Corners 2026

      Friday 12th June 2026

The ASRWC's much-loved trail series.. FOUR CORNERS!

Come discover what each of Alice's corners has to offer. Run the north, south, east and west in a fun new series with four legs to be run between Friday evening and Sunday morning.

      Four Corners 2026 - Leg 1 - Westside
Friday 12th June: Race Rego opens 5:30, Compulsory Race Briefing 6:00pm, Race Start 6:10 pm.

      You’ll need a head torch!!

Budgie is the perfect trail for picking up the pace, or if you're new to trails, one that is a little less technical than some. And what a way to warm up for the weekend to come!!

Starting from the scout hall carpark, you’ll make your way up the hill onto some single track to link up. Heading up to the trailhead to Atetherre on your left, the views of Alice along this trail will be phenomenal; expect lots of photo breaks. 🙂

Here is the course map, this year we are using Strava https://www.strava.com/routes/3286567639784135384 it is mandatory to participate with the course map loaded onto your phone. The trail will also be fully marked and there will be course sweeps. If you require a GPX file to load into your mapping app (like Guru Maps), it can be found here.

      Four Corners 2026- Leg 2 - Southside
Saturday 13th June: Race Registration opens from 7:30am, Compulsory Race briefing 8:00am, Race Start 8:10am (plenty of time after parkrun to make it!!)

Rollercoaster is back, what can we say its the pick of the southside options! So, if you missed out last year now's your time :) it’s a figure of 8 loop, this iconic Southside trail will be spectacular for a morning run.

This one has some decent climbs with some technical parts, but it’s worth it for those desert views.

The start line is across the railway tracks behind the Road Transport Hall of Fame.

Here is the course map, this year we are using Strava https://www.strava.com/routes/3353657878758273010 it is mandatory to participate with the course map loaded onto your phone. The trail will also be fully marked and there will be course sweeps. If you require a GPX file to load into your mapping app (like Guru Maps), it can be found here

      Four Corners 2026- Leg 3 - Eastside
Saturday, 13th June - Race Registration open 4:30pm, Compulsory Race Briefing 4:50 pm, Race Start 5:00pm

      https://www.strava.com/routes/3366001695864944624

The journey to the eastside takes you out on the classic Inarlenge (Echidna). This maybe controversial for some, we’re going clockwise!! It’s just one of those trails that everyonee feels has a wrong way and a right way to run it!!

Follow in the footsteps of the echidna on this classic east side trail. You’ll start in the Kurrajong carpark before heading west under the ridge. Then turning back on yourself start the first climb to end up above the start/finish (wave to the vollies). It’s rocky and technical but so worth it for the views back over Mparntwe to Mt Gillen. Then it’s west via flowy single track before the final climb up to Echidna Point.

Take in the views of Undoolya and the East Macs before attacking the thrilling classic echidna descent. At the bottom of the hill turn right for a sprint along management tracks and single track to the finish.

The startline will be the carpark across from 88 Kurrajong drive Eastside.

      Four Corners 2026 - Leg 4 - Northside
Sunday, 14th June: Race Registration opens 7:30 am, Compulsory Race Briefing 8:00 am, Race Start 8:10 am

We're heading to Little-Lara!! This one is a firm Dusty Divas favourite, and some might recognise it too as the backup Summer Series Course in 2023. It's a fun loop that brings it a touch of Larapinta fun.

The startline is at The Telegraph Station by the old gum tree.

It’s always lovely to discover trails you’ve never run before when you’ve run most of them!! This one is a gem.

Here is the course map. This year, we are going to use Strava: https://strava.app.link/ORBwambPfKb. It is mandatory to participate with the course map loaded onto your phone. The trail will also be fully marked, and there will be course sweeps. If you require a GPX file to load into your mapping app (like Guru Maps) they can be found here

MANDATORY GEAR is REQUIRED and NON-NEGOTIABLE:

Fully charged mobile phone with GURU maps app downloaded with the GPX file of the course downloaded or Strava route saved

      Snake Bandage

Water - at least 500ml capacity

      Headtorch for night runs

GPX Map files are available here

** Finishers of all four legs and volunteers will receive a TBA pressie

      Note:
Costing/Event Prices vary for this event.

There will be no on-course aid stations. Participants must be self-sufficient for the duration of each event (there are no aid stations).

Briefings start 10min before the race commences and are COMPULSORY.

Check-ins open 40min before event start times - ALL participants must check in before racing.

Registration on the day is possible, but online registration is preferred. On the day, registrations close 20 minutes before the race begins.

Before the event, we encourage all participants to register online (www. asrwc.com.au).

      Walkers are welcome!

To add a bit of fun and good-spirited trail rivalry, this event will see Eastside participants go head-to-head with Westside participants. We will announce the fastest average calculated from the top three of each sex from each side. Most importantly, though, the highest participation will be announced. The reward for this will be ULTIMATE bragging rights and utter satisfaction ;) So rally your fellow neighbour and represent your turf with pride!!

Basic refreshments, such as fresh fruit, some Thommos treats at each event, and a few special nibbles will be available at the Leg 4 finish.

      Cup free event!

Lucky door prizes for participants of all Four Corners.

      Volunteers:

SWEEPS - We will be needing sweeps for each event. A sweep follows the competitors, always keeping behind them. Sweeps ensure no one is left behind, pick up any rubbish that may have been dropped unnoticed and collect the trail markers. A sweep can hike behind participants or time their start so they can get some running in themselves. A sweep will be in contact with the race director. The great thing about being a sweep is that you can do the course for free! If this sounds like you, please let us know at info@asrwc.com.au Also sweep one leg, and get entry to the next for free for being a vollie rockstar.. AND vollies count towards the final scoring :)

REGO/START LINE HELP and pack up - We would love some help to get everyone registered and checked in before the event starts. You can take on this role and participate in the event. If you can arrive an hour before the event, that would be perfect. Again to stay back afterwards, please let us know info@asrwc.com.auor register via the event registration page. AND volunteers run for free!!

Our Race Director can be contacted during the event on the provided number, and an hour prior to and after if required
