Join us for something special, something different on Saturday the 7th March at 3:30pm for BLUE MOON
Directed by Richard Linklater
Starring Bobby Cannavale, Simon Delaney, Andrew Scott, Margaret Qualley, Patrick Kennedy, Ethan Hawke
It’s March 31, 1943, and lyricist Lorenz Hart (Hawke) – who penned the hits “Blue Moon” and “My Funny Valentine” – is at the bar. It’s the opening night of Oklahoma!, the new show by his former creative partner, Richard Rodgers (Scott). Knowing he should absolutely avoid drinking, Hart sits frustrated, yearning for a tipple and contemplating both his professional and personal future. He’s in a slump, and hopes to rekindle the collaboration with Rodgers. At the same time, he awaits the arrival of the latest object of his desire, a much younger college student (Qualley, The Substance, SFF 2024). Unfolding in real time and imbued with sparkling wit, Blue Moon is a profound meditation on the cost of making art, and a sheer delight.
