Dragon Ball FighterZ Tournament

Alice Springs Public Library and NT eSports present Dragon Ball FighterZ Tournament!

eSports-loving locals are invited to spend an afternoon of gaming, competing, and snacking whilst playing Dragon Ball FighterZ on the PlayStation 4!
Play with your favourite Dragon Ball Z characters on our huge 75 inch screen; power up, challenge your friends, meet other local gamers and get the chance to win some awesome prizes. For youth and adults (ages 10+)

FREE. This game is rated PG. Parental guidance is recommended for children under 15 years of age.


NEW 'Connect to Tech' Program runs 8 February - 26 April 2018

Thursdays from 10.30am-12pm in the Library Meeting Room.

Connect to Tech has been so well received - we are running a new 12 week program! 

FREE adult digital literacy training will include using the Internet, staying safe online, online shopping, using Facebook, using video calling and more. 
Gain new skills at an easy pace using Be Connected, an Australian Government initiative.

Alice Springs CHESS Club

Sundays from 10.00am - 1.00pm in the Library Meeting Room

Love a game of chess? From social players to more serious competitors, all are welcome. Please bring along a chess set if you have one. Refreshments provided.

Addiction Recovery Program 

Fridays 1.00pm - 3.00pm 

No session Friday 30 March (Good Friday) 

Advice, support and guidance for those living with addiction. The 12-step program incorporates gospel principles and fosters recovery and healing for all types of addiction. Conversational English

Friday afternoons 5.00pm to 6.00pm in the Library Meeting Room

Practice conversational English

This group began for women only, but because of the demand for English language classes, we have opened it up to include all members of the public.
Meet other people wanting to practice their conversational English skills in these relaxed weekly meetings.

U3A Creative Writing Group

First & Third Saturday each month. 1.30pm-3.30pm

If you are over 50, have a love of writing and would like to share your stories, improve your skills or just meet with like-minded folk, give our U3A Creative Writing Group a go!
No bookings required.

NOTE: This meeting is held after library opening hours in the Library Meeting Room - please enter via the old entrance off Gregory Terrace.

Third Saturday of each month. 12.00pm - 1.00pm

Love to chat about books? Welcome to our Monthly Reading Group, held on the 3rd Saturday of the month, from 12.00pm until 1.00pm. No reservations required — just come along for the books that interest you.
