King Marong fuses the centuries old traditions of West Africa with contemporary styles, creating a vibrant blend of irresistible dance music. The Tamala Express is an 8-10 piece band featuring keys, guitars, traditional West African string instruments (kora and camel ngoni) and a vibrant horn section. With elements of afrobeat, funk, Latin, reggae, dance hall and jazz, it's a modern mix, underpinned by the deep roots of the traditional rhythms and melodies of King’s Mandinka heritage. So get those boogie shoes on and work those moves to the high energy grooves of world inspired Afrobeat explosions.
