Salary: Level 3 (Municipal Officer) $46,613- $50,356 and other allowances in accordance with Council’s Workplace Partnership Agreement

To project manage Council’s capital works and development infrastructure projects in response to the community’s needs, including the preparation of surveys, plans, specifications, concepts, tendering and installation of works through to practical completion.
1. Manage the design & documentation, tendering and construction of various infrastructure works
2. Liaise with government and service agencies, Council staff, community and indigenous groups in regards to projects and scope of works
3. Project manage Infrastructure and Development project budgets
4. Supervise the construction of Council building projects, including scoping and programming of the works though to practical completion
5. Ensure all building projects and programs comply with Council policies, BCA requirements and Territory legislation, including those of the DCA
6. Participate Technical Services Department management team

Supervise professional and other staff and contractors as required
• Educational qualifications and management skills acceptable to the CEO
• Current drivers licence to be able to drive a motor vehicle in the NT
1. Experience in construction works with the ability to manage the design and documentation, tendering and construction of infrastructure works, manage project budgets and supervise the construction of Council building projects, including scoping and programming of the works though to practical completion
2. Ability to plan, coordinate, develop and supervise an effective team in order to achieve outcomes in a productive and timely manner
3. Good communication skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with a wide cross- section of government and service agencies, and community and indigenous groups
4. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively including handling competing priorities
5. Educational qualifications and management skills acceptable to the CEO
6. Current drivers licence to be able to drive a motor vehicle in the NT

2. Experience working in a cross-cultural environment, including indigenous communities and individuals
3. Computer literacy including effective use of the Internet
