Council Community Questionnaire

The Alice Springs Town Council is conducting the next community questionnaire for March 2010.

This questionnaire is distributed every few years and information from this survey formulates the Council’s future plans which then go into the Strategic Plan document.

These questionnaires are designed to ascertain important information and feedback from the Alice Springs community on issues such as performance of Council services and Council’s future direction.

"It is important for Council to implement these community questionnaires to ensure Council services are continued to be provided to a standard the community requires. It is also important to determine community concerns and needs which then drive the decisions and directions of Council." said CEO Rex Mooney.

The last community questionnaire was done in 2004 as part of the 2004-2009 Strategic Plan. One of the key results showed residents were most concerned with litter. In response to these community concerns the Alice Springs Town Council has since implement a number of initiatives including the Cash for Container Recycling scheme to combat these concerns.

If you have not already received a community questionnaire, copies can be picked up from the Alice Springs Town Council Civic Centre or downloadable from our web site.
