Opening 6pm on Wednesday 16th May at Muk Muk Fine Art, ‘Spectrum’ represents the culmination of over 40 years of artistic trial, error, tears tantrums and triumphs for Rene M. Largely a self taught artist it has been a journey of discovery. Widely travelled, her work has been influenced by her surroundings and the people she has lived and worked with. From the tropics of PNG to the Central Australian deserts her paintings have been a reflection of her life.
‘Spectrum’ is a fusion of colours that both blend and contrast as she challenges her audience to find their own interpretation of each piece; “I am first and foremost a colourist, my work has always involved the blending and contrasts of colour. I don’t care about anatomical or botanical correctness”.
On display from 16th - 26th May at Muk Muk Fine Art, 14 Lindsay Ave, Alice Springs.
