Come bush for the perfect Easter getaway.....and visit Gemtree on the Plenty Highway. Plenty of fun, plenty of quiet, spacious campsites - a great family weekend.


There's plenty to do for everyone. It's a perfect year, green and welcoming. There's even water in the creek - gently trickling from a spring upstream. Bring your kayaks - or even an old tyre tube! We have gemfossicking at 9am daily; a fabulous 3.5km nature trail with birds galore - borrow our full colour self guiding booklet; Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings enjoy a campoven dinner from Kate's Camp oven Kitchen - winner of the Central Australian Tourism 2010 New Innovation Award. Family fun afterwards with paddy melon bowls, a family history movie about life on a cattle station in the 60's, or karaoke and singalongs by the campfire. The usual Easter Big Dig has a slight change this year due to water in the creek! Instead, we will have an Easter Egg Treasure Hunt for the kids on Sunday morning at 10am. Prize will be a lovely polished gemstone egg for one lucky child - but there'll be chocolate Easter eggs for everyone.
