YesterMorph: Youth Digital Art Exhibition Launch

With the support of our Library Geek, young people in the library have been busily “morphing” historical Central Australian Images Collection photographs into digital artworks using a range of techniques on iPads. These artworks will be displayed in an exhibition opening on Thursday 12 July at the Alice Springs Public Library.

This program has seen vast improvements in digital literacy, behaviour, proprietorship and pride in the young people’s library space and engagement with the library. The Exhibition will allow our young artists the opportunity to see their artworks professionally printed and recognised as part of a positive community project.

We would love to show support for these budding digital artists and invite you to attend the YesterMorph: Youth Digital Art Exhibition launch on Thursday 12 July at 5pm.
