Beeswax Wrap Workshops

Minimise the waste produced by your household and ditch single-use plastics.

Following on from our successful workshops in National Recycling Week, Alice Springs Town Council is hosting another round of beeswax wrap workshops.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to make reusable beeswax wraps to keep your food fresh and plastic free! Beeswax wraps can be used as a food cover for wrapping veggies, sandwiches, baked goods and small snacks in place of cling wrap or plastic containers.

Workshops: Saturday 9th December, 1.00pm - 2.00pm

OR Saturday 9th December , 2.30pm - 3.30pm

Workshop Cost: The workshop is $10 per person (pay cash at the door) - and you’ll take home two of your own beeswax wraps.

Bookings essential: Call or email Council's Environment Officer: hmichener@astc.nt.gov.au or 8950 0594

Resources: All resources are provided, but you are welcome to bring any specific fabrics you would like to turn into wraps. Natural materials such as cotton or linen in a tight weave are ideal.
