Compost Workshop

Want to learn more about composting?

Alice Springs Town Council invites you to attend a FREE composting workshop to learn the basics of home composting and to find out more about the Compost Revolution.

When: 15th March, 5:30pm
Where: Alice Springs Community Garden, Frances Smith Memorial Park (enter via Burke street)
Cost: FREE

Food scraps are the largest single component of household wheelie bins in Alice Springs food scraps, making up 18% of household waste and garden materials make up an additional 16%. When these organic materials decompose anaerobically (without oxygen) in landfill they release harmful Greenhouse Gases. Why not compost your scraps, saving the environment and also creating valuable compost for your garden!
