Tour de Todd!

Tomorrow Alice Springs will host it’s first ever Tour de Todd event, a FREE family friendly community event to be held at Snow Kenna Park from 5:30pm.

It’s the Todd River Tucker meets Ingkerekke Commercial MTB Enduro ... the Tour de Todd!   Come along to cheer on the cyclists at Anzac Hill in the stage 2 of the competition from 4pm. Then head down to Snow Kenna Park by the river for presentations, entertainment and a bite to eat.

Event details - Where: Snow Kenna Park from 5:30pm, Tuesday 17 May 2011.

FREE family entertainment from 5:30pm to 8pm.

Sami Cha & Dom Costello will be playing some laid back tunes and there will be camel, veggie burgers & snags available for purchase.  Sample some of Central Australia's bush tucker whilst you check out the Anzac Hill trials presentations to see who got up and down the hill in the fastest time.

 

Don't forget to bring the winter woollies and BYO chairs or rugs to relax in front of the big screen to watch the Enduro highlights, plus a couple of short films for the cycling buff.

 

Todd River Tucker is a free, family friendly event brought to you by Alice Springs Town Council and supported by Tourism Central Australia.

 

The Ingkerreke MTB Enduro will be having a cyclists parade between 8:55am and 9:05am on Tuesday 17 May on Wills Terrace inAlice Springs.  All riders will complete a parade as a single peloton from the Chifley Alice Springs Resort, up Leichhardt Terrace and then along Wills Terrace for the general public and gathered school kids.
