Clean Up Australia Day
Mayor Damien Ryan invites the Alice Springs community to take part in ‘Clean Up Australia Day’ this Sunday 6 March 2011.
“Whether you take part in the Council Clean Up site or another Alice Springs site, the important thing is to get involved in the day” said Mayor Damien Ryan.
Event details:-
When: Sunday 6 March 2011.
Where: Todd River at Schwarz Crescent,
meeting point outside St Philips College.
Time: from 8am

or simply volunteer on the day.
As part of Council’s commitment to Clean Up Australia Day, residents will be able to deliver domestic and green waste to the Landfill and Green Waste Processing Facility on Commonage Road FREE of charge only on Sunday 6 March 2011.
ALL vehicles (including utility, commercial or domestic vehicles) involved in Clean Up Australia Day require a voucher for this entitlement which can be obtained from the Council Civic Centre before the day. Whether an individual or organised site, you must have a voucher from Council to be entitled to this offer.
