At a recent Aldermen’s meeting it was decided that the draft Alice Springs (Management of Public Places) By-laws 2009 will be considered at the November’s round of meetings.
“In the interest of taking the time to read and discuss the issues raised in the public’s submissions, the Council has decided to put the revised set of by-laws back to Novembers round of meetings” said Mayor Damien Ryan.
The November round of meeting consist of the Corporate and Community Services meeting to be held on Monday 16th November 2009 at 5:30pm and then the draft Alice Springs (Management of Public Places) By-laws 2009 will be coming to a vote at November’s Ordinary Council Meeting on Monday 30th November 2009 at 6:30pm.
Mayor Damien Ryan said “The aim of these by-laws is to make Alice a safer, cleaner and better place to live, work and visit and if that means we take some extra time to ensure the best possible outcome for the community then we are happy to take this time.”
