Damien was awarded the prestigious Photographic Imaging Council of Australia (PICA) award as "Photographic Dealer of the Year" in 2000. He was President of the Alice Springs Motor Cycle Club during the late 70s and early 80s, and was instrumental in promoting the toughest off-road motorcycle race in Australia, the Radio Alice 12-Hour Enduro, that ran from 1978-1988 on Mt Ebenezer Station.

Jane Clark has lived and worked in Alice Springs since 1980. During that time she has been a business owner and has brought up three children.

Jane operates two businesses, a web design business and a therapeutic massage business, making it possible to divide her time equally between her two areas of expertise, computer programming and sports massage.

Jane spent her first 17 years in Adelaide but her family history in Central Australia goes back to the 1920’s when her Grandfather worked as a ‘dogger’ on the Ghan line. He ended up staying for the remaining 50 years of his life. Her father grew up in Alice and spun many wild stories of the centre and its characters. After completing year 12, Jane came to Alice, only intending to stay a few months, but she loved the place and stayed.

Jane has since been involved in the community as a swimming teacher for 10 years, president of the playgroup association and served on various school committees.

She has worked for 8 years as an advocate for the Alice Springs ICT Industry promoting it and negotiating for regional businesses to obtain a fair share of government contracts. She has been convenor of the Alice Springs ICT industry forum, a member of the ICT Industry Development Group and on the executive of the Australian Information Industry Association.
