Alice Springs Public Transport in Alice Springs

Alice Springs has a public bus service, ASBUS, and a number of taxi/minibus companies.

ASBUS is the Alice Springs public bus service. It is funded by the Northern Territory Government. Operation of the service is contracted out to Buslink (8952 5611).

School bus services are run by Dysons (8952 5688), although Buslink buses are sometimes seconded to help out in busy periods. Details of routes, fares and policies are on the NT Government website.

ASBUS services

ASBUS operates on weekdays and Saturday mornings, except public holidays.

ASBUS fares are set by the NT Department of Planning and Infrastructure and Information.

Concession cards

ASBUS accepts a range of concession cards, listed on the fares page.

Please note: you must present your card to the driver each time you travel to receive the concession.

The three buses servicing the regular town routes are designed for improved access for people with mobility considerations.
