Alice Springs has a fully equipped teaching hospital and a range of GPs, dentists and other specialised health services.

Bulk billing (where Australian residents with a Medicare card can receive free treatment from a GP) is not generally available in Alice Springs.

The Hospital runs an after hours General Practicioners clinic which is quite expensive, but sometimes the only option if a GP is needed at short notice.
