Alice Springs Town Council has a program where surplus or superceded computing equipment is donated to community organisations.

The Computer program is dependant on availability of equipment, on average it runs twice a year.
The equipment will vary in specifications but all allocations will typically include:
The successful applicant is responsible for the collection and installation of the equipment and any associated costs.
There is no ongoing warranty, support or maintenance of the equipment by ASTC.
The equipment is donated on an 'as is' basis and may require additional expenditure by the recipient to configure to individual requirements.
The equipment must be retained for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of receipt and used for the purpose stated in the application which must be consistent with the applicant's core community activities.
Applications are assessed by a selection committee consisting of Aldermen and Council Officers.
