Buying/ Hiring White Goods
Hi, My partner and I are moving to Alice Springs in March, we were hoping to rent a fully furnished place but there doesn't seem to be that many available, so we are now looking at our other options. Including, hiring a relocation company from Sydney, buying a trailer and towing it behind the ute, or buying items when we arrive.
Can people please tell me how easy it is to buy white goods and other furniture, either new or used. We are moving on a tight budget and would be happy to buy items when we got there rather then carrying them all with us.
Hope you can help us.

Whitegoods and furniture
There are several whitegoods retailers in Alice Springs, including several nationally recognised retailing brands, so you'll have no trouble buying new goods. Second-hand whitegoods and furniture tends to be relatively expensive in Alice Springs as they are in greater demand due to the greater mobility of our population. Lawn sales (like garage sales) are another popular place to buy this sort of thing.
