2013 ROUND (EXCLUDING COMMUNITY COMPUTERS PROGRAM) - NOW CLOSED

The Alice Springs Town Council currently offers five types of community grants. The Araluen Access, Youth Development (new in 2013), Community Development and Community Assistance grants are open once a year. The Computer and Equipment program is dependant on availability.

Araluen Community Access Grants

The Araluen Community Access Grants have been established to encourage and support local community initiatives, that require access to the Araluen Arts Centre. The maximum amount available for the Araluen Community Access Grant is $2000.00 (exclusive of GST).

Community Development Grants

The Alice Springs Town Council has allocated funds through the Community Development Grants to encourage and support the Community Development of Alice Springs. The maximum amount available in a Community Development Grant is $5,000.00 (exclusive of GST).

Community Assistance Grants

Community Assistance Grants are intended to support local projects which demonstrate broad-based benefit to residents of Alice Springs. The maximum amount available in a Community Assistance Grant is $1,500.00 (exclusive of GST).

Youth Development Grants (new in 2013)

The Youth Development Grants provides an opportunity for eligible youth organisations and community groups to develop innovative Youth Development Projects and Programs. The maximum grant available is $5,000 (exclusive of GST).

Community Computers Program

These grants are not currently open for applications. Please contact the Community Development Officer on 8950 0567 for opening dates.

Alice Springs Town Council has a program where surplus or superceded computing equipment is donated to community organisations.
